1. When does the annual Leaf Collection program begin?

The annual Leaf Collection program generally begins the week of Thanksgiving and weather permitting, will conclude by the end of December. The City will update the website with the most current information at the beginning of November each year. Schedule changes will also be updated on the interactive map.

2. What roads are eligible for Leaf Collection?

Only city streets with green signs are eligible for leaf collection. Private roads marked with blue signs are ineligible.

3. Where should I put out leaves to be collected?

Pile leaves in ditches or along the edge of the road. Do not create a road hazard by placing leaves in the right-of-way. Bagged leaves will be picked up if they’re packed in special biodegradable bags. No plastic trash bags will be removed.

4. Does the City of Osage Beach give out bags for leaves?

Yes. Biodegradable bags are available for free at the Public Works main office (5757 Chapel Dr.) and at the window inside City Hall (1000 City Pkwy). Bags will be available a couple weeks before the annual leaf collection begins. Bags can also be purchased at various retailers. 

5. My road was scheduled for collection, but my leaves are still here?

Residents should allow for some flexibility in dates. Unforeseeable events like inclement weather and equipment repair may cause delays. If that happens, the map will be updated with schedule changes. Please check back for the latest information. 

6. How do I report an overlooked pile or bag of leaves?

If a pile or bag of leaves was overlooked during your neighborhood's scheduled collection, please call the Public Works Department for service at (573) 302-2020. You can also submit a request through our online Fix It Form by checking the "leaf collection" box.

Also, city residents can drop off leaves in biodegradable bags at the Public Works facility. Yard and garden waste like grass clippings, trimmings, limbs and small trees can be dropped off at Osage Beach City Park (950 Hatchery Rd.) year-round. Plastic trash bags will not be accepted at either location.
