Planning Department

The Planning Department's responsibility is to carry out Missouri statutes as it relates to the planning and zoning for the City, and the directives of the Planning Commission, as well as the Board of Aldermen as it relates to the City's Zoning Code and Comprehensive Plan. As directed by the Board of Aldermen, the City Planner shall be the City's designated Zoning Administrator.

The Comprehensive Plan is the current and long-range plan for the City of Osage Beach which guides and coordinates development in accordance with existing and future needs of the City and promotes efficient and economic process of property development and land use activities.

The Planning Department serves as the support staff to the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustment directing the municipal planning, zoning, and community growth and development.
