1. How do I get a license to do business in Osage Beach?

Anyone conducting business, a profession, trade, or other occupation listed in the City Code within Osage Beach must obtain a business license. To apply, submit a completed Business License Application, a $50 fee (renewed annually), a copy of your Retail Sales Tax License, and a Statement of No Tax Due from the State of Missouri.

2. How do I get a contractor license to build or remodel in Osage Beach?

Anyone working as a contractor in the City of Osage Beach must obtain a Contractor License. To apply, submit a completed Contractor License Application, a $50 fee, proof of workers' compensation insurance (if applicable) or a signed affidavit stating that insurance is not required.

3. Where can I find information about City finances and operations?

The City Clerk, as mandated by city ordinance, oversees records and ensures compliance with Missouri state regulations regarding record retention and disposal. You can visit the Archive Center to access a variety of financial and operational records or submit a Public Records Request to the City Clerk.

4. Where and how do I register to vote in Osage Beach?

The City of Osage Beach spans both Camden and Miller Counties, and residents of either county can register to vote at the City Clerk’s Office in Osage Beach City Hall (1000 City Pkwy.) during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. 5. Are dogs required to be licensed?

Yes. All residents must obtain a license for dogs six months and older. Please fill out and submit the application with a copy of the dog's vaccination record to the City Clerk. The license fee can be paid on the online Easy Pay portal or in person at the City Hall window. Each licensed dog will be issued a tag, which must be worn at all times when off of the owners' premises. Licenses expire May 31 every year.

6. Do I need a business license if I have a short-term rental?

A short-term rental is defined as renting a residential dwelling or unit for less than 30 consecutive days.

The City of Osage Beach does not have specific regulations restricting or prohibiting short-term rentals in residential zones or in commercial zones where residential condominiums are allowed, except in R-3 multi-family zones, which require a minimum stay of 30 days.

A business or occupational license is not required for short-term rentals. Renting residential property alone does not qualify as engaging in business; however, property management or similar activities may require a license. For more information, contact the City Clerk.
