Osage Beach Unveils Winning Names in First-Ever Snow Plow Contest
The votes are in, the signs are made, and now it’s time for the big reveal—Osage Beach’s first-ever Name a Plow Contest winners have been officially unveiled. And the winners are:
🏆️Snowderboatin’ – Mark
2️⃣ Thaw Enforcement – Holly
3️⃣ Scoop Dogg – Nick
4️⃣ Ozarktic Blast – Wendy
5️⃣ Grand D’Glaizer – Jamie
6️⃣ Plow Around & Find Out – Remney
7️⃣ Plow Chicka Plow Plow – Erika
It’s no surprise that Snowderboatin’ sailed into first place—it was the clear fan favorite. But other locally inspired names, like Ozarktic Blast and Grand D’Glaizer, also made the top seven, paying homage to the breathtaking natural beauty of the Lake of the Ozarks region.
The contest was a massive success, drawing more than 250 creative and pun-filled entries and over 2,300 votes from enthusiastic lake area residents. The winning names will now be proudly displayed on plows serving different areas of the city.
“We encourage residents to keep an eye out for their favorite named plows as they hit the streets during the next winter storm,” said Public Works Manager Zak Wilber. “While winter weather can be tough, we hope this contest brings a little humor to the season. Our crews work hard to keep roads safe, and now they’ll be driving plows with names chosen by the very community they serve.”
Thank you to everyone who participated. Want a behind-the-scenes look and to meet some of the winners? Check out YouTube for fun a reel showcasing contest highlights!
