Santa and Mrs. Claus are flying in from the North Pole to visit the children of Osage Beach for the first annual ‘Santa at City Hall’ event every Thursday in December before Christmas.
The free event is an opportunity for children and families to take photographs with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Leashed pets are also welcome (no snakes, please). Participants must take photos with their own devices. No paid photography services will be offered.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available Thursdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the front parking lot at City Hall (additional dates may be added). The Miracle Whip Mobile Café will have beverages and treats for purchase during the event. Limited parking is available at City Hall, but overflow parking can go next door to Harper Chapel United Methodist Church.
Santa’s elves worked with the Osage Beach Parks and Public Works Departments to transform City Hall into a sparkling wonderland complete with a cozy cabin for Santa. Along with the enhanced lights at City Hall, additional displays are visible along Osage Beach Parkway on both sides of the bridge.
Although there is no fee for photos, Santa and Mrs. Claus accept donations for the Heroes Outreach Program, a non-profit based out of Eldon, Missouri. All proceeds, minus expenses, help fund outreach to combat veterans and first responders at risk of suicide.
The event may be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseeable circumstances. Schedule changes will be posted on the City’s website and social media channels.
The City of Osage Beach is excited to offer this new, free event to the community.
