For the average household, the rate incease is around 4%. Customers will notice the change in the bill they receive for January 2012 that is due in February 2012.
By ordinance, rates are reviewed annually and adjusted when deemed necessary. The City is committed to operating its water and sewer systems in a safe, lawful and financially sound manner as well as supporting water conservation and providing an excellent service for the betterment of the City as a whole. In order to achieve this goal, it becomes necessary at times to adjust rates accordingly.
