The City of Osage Beach has two parks: Peanick Park
and the Osage Beach City Park
The Osage Beach Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of facilities and activities and is dedicated to providing superior customer service and a safe and appealing park experience to all citizens and visitors of the parks.
is located at 800 Hwy 42, on the northeast side of town on Highway 42. It is a 13 acre park with two ball fields, horseshoe pits, pavilions, basketball courts, a walking trail, and playground facilities.
The Osage Beach City Park
is located at 950 Hatchery Rd, off of Hwy 54 adjacent to the outlet mall. It is a 92 acre park surrounded by the Lake of the Ozarks and the Lake of the Ozarks State Park, the largest State Park system in Missouri. The park has lake access, a fully stocked fishing pond, pavilions, a playground, three lighted soccer fields, and a newly constructed Sports Complex complete with three lighted 300' baseball/softball fields, press box, state-of-the-art scoreboards, and concession facilities.
Osage Beach Parks & Recreation Facts
- Osage Beach's Parks and Recreation is fully funded by City Sales Tax. No special taxes exist for parks and recreation.
- The City of Osage Beach purchased 92 acres from Ameren UE in 1998, formerly a fish hatchery, for what is now known as the Osage Beach City Park.
- The Osage Beach City Park Master Plan was completed in 2000 blueprinting the layout and construction of a 92 acre premier park destination. Many items are still to be constructed per the plan; for example, a lake side boardwalk, Missouri State Park connected hiking trails, a swim beach, and additional playgrounds and pavilions.
- The City has invested more than $6 Million into the Osage Beach City Park since 1998.
