How to Apply
The City of Osage Beach currently uses Government Jobs by NEOGOV to post employment opportunities and manage applicants. Browse and apply for open positions.
Instructions on how to apply are included on each job announcement. We only accept applications for jobs that are currently open and do not keep unsolicited resumes or applications.
Job vacancies may be advertised on the City's website, social media channels, and government sector job boards. Openings can be filled in different ways, such as appointment, on-the-job training, or temporary positions, depending on what the City needs. Applicants must meet the minimum job requirements and are chosen based on their skills and qualifications. Open positions may be posted for current City employees before or at the same time as they are advertised to the public.

Hiring Process
Each job opening is filled through a screening process to make sure applicants have the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the position. The interview and selection process may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Written tests to measure job-related knowledge or aptitude.
- Oral interviews to review job history and assess communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Performance tests to evaluate the ability to complete specific job-related tasks.
- Physical ability tests or medical exams to determine if applicants meet the job’s physical requirements.
- Pre-employment screenings, including reference checks, criminal history checks, and/or drug testing, for most City positions.
For Police Department positions, additional screenings may include polygraph tests, psychological evaluations, medical exams, and background investigations to ensure suitability for the role.
